📋 How It Works – Player Expectations & Matchday Rules
To keep everything running smoothly and fairly, we ask every player to follow a few simple rules:
- Invites go out every Sunday at 9PM, covering sessions 12 days in advance
- Can’t play? Decline in the app — it helps us massively with planning
- Ignoring 3 invites in a row without responding? Management will step in
- If you’ve accepted but plans change, decline ASAP in Spond
- If you drop out on the day of the game, you’re expected to cover your spot and pay for your replacement
- Frequent late withdrawals = chat with the organisers
- Subs must be paid before matchday — no chasing, no messing
- A “Subs Owed” list goes out every Wednesday
- Non-payment may lead to removal from Spond until things are sorted
📍 Where We Play
Our matches take place at the 3G pitch behind Roefield Leisure Centre, right on the western edge of Clitheroe. Easy access, free parking, and top surface — tap the map below for directions.

What Do You Need to Know?
Here’s a set of inspiring placeholder FAQs — practical, but with the tone you’re going for. Swap in the real answers when the lads are ready 👇
Nah. You just need to show up, give it a go, and not take yourself too seriously. It’s about effort, not ability.
Mate, most of us hadn’t played in ages either. You’ll find your feet after a game or two — and we’ll back you every step.
Right now, we use [Spond / WhatsApp] to manage teams. You’ll get the link when you join and can accept or decline based on your week.
Trainers or astro boots, a dark top and light top (team sheets sent out on match-day), and good vibes. That’s it.
Rain or shine — if the pitch is open, we’re on. The only time we break is if everyone’s knees are hanging off or we’re in the pub instead.
Absolutely. Come down, meet the lads, have a laugh, and get a feel for it. No pressure.
Bit of both. The games get spicy, but it’s always respectful. You’ll get a sweat on, but you’ll leave smiling.
We usually chip in a few quid each to cover pitch hire. No memberships, no hidden fees — just pay to play.
